Chonbuk National University has the largest university campus in South Korea. Notable for being also a national research institute worldwide. Wikipedia introduces Chonbuk National University (Acronym: CBNU; Korean, 전북대학교, Jeonbuk Daehakgyo) as a national research university founded in 1947, located in Jeonju, Republic of Korea. As the flagship national university for the Jeollabuk-do province (Chonbuk means Jeonbuk for Jeollabuk-do), Chonbuk National University has been ranked 501–550th in the world by QS Top Universities Ranking in 2016.
Visited a friend continuing her Masters in Chemical Engineering here. The University is located in Jeonju City, notable for its lotus flowers at Deokjin Park, and home to the largest traditional Hanok Village in Southwest part of South Korea. An estimated 2-3 hours ride from my university from Kongju National University, Gongju City.
