Kyobo Bookstore in Daejeon City is located on the 3rd floor at Galleria nearby Daejeon’s Government Complex. This Korean chain of bookstores also has a lot of collection of books you can enjoy reading inside and kids so lovely to see around this encouraged environment.
From Daejeon Terminal Complex, ride bus #605 at the bus stop across the nearest Homeplus Mall.
One of my professors recommended a book by Piketty, though couldn’t find it in Gongju City since foreign English books and bookstores are quite seldom. And also, I’m not quite familiar yet entirely to Gongju City. I’ve been traveling around Korea for quite while also so I often pass by Daejeon City when I’m coming back from the south part of Korea, so I was more familiar with the place particularly last time coming from cities like Daegu, Masan, Changwon, Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival, and Busan. When coming from the nearby west or north also Taean, Seosan, Yesan, Cheonan, most likely Daejeon City is not a temporary stopping point, and pass by Gongju City. So there are different routes buses use, which also provide faster their arrival time on terminals. Trains have various exit points. Though you can also ride City Bus #605 going stop by Daejeon train station. Please make sure the bus won’t go the other way around to Daejeon University. Bus terminals are also equipped with free Public Wifi access and it would be safer to just ask nice locals around. Some Koreans are nice and would welcome you and help guide which floor the bookstore is.
So grateful to experience this kind of business environment, encouraging a comfortable and lovely experience in reading even with children, which is actually kind of difficult nowadays.
