Grateful to have an approved interview the people behind NCCC Cares recently for school. The New City Commercial Corp (NCCC) company organization served 12 years as a social welfare agency implementing programs for children, family, community development and pro-environment advocacy.
Interviewed Ms. Anne Jeanette C. Alcebar, duly licensed BS Social Worker graduate from University of Mindanao. She assisted me with the operations of the various programs of NCCC Cares Inc.
NCCC Cares Inc. operates in three branches of NCCC. The main office is located at 2nd floor LTS Building Ramon Magsaysay Avenue, Davao City. Other branches are located at 4th Floor NCCC Mall, km. 55, National Highway, Tagum CIty, and NCCC Mall Palawan, 89 Lacao Street, Barangay Maningning, Puerto Princesa City. Two of its offices are located in Region 111 and one in Region 48 MIMAROPA.
A. Educational Assitance Program (EAP)
Financial assistance granted to indigent and deserving children who have a strong desire to complete basic and tertiary education but are unable to get one due to their family’s financial incapability. It is open to all qualified applicants in elementary, high school and college preparing to enter or already enrolled in partner institutions.
Overall educational assistance are provided to elementary, Junior High, Senior High school scholars of NCCC Cares. Further monitoring of requirements, grades and performance are evaluated and parent’s participation are encouraged by the group from time to time.
B. Community Programs
Assistance extended to selected communities that relates to projects and engagements in the areas of disaster relief and outreach activities. Disaster relief assistance is in response to post-event man-made disaster and/or natural calamities to affected families. Outreach activities can be school based or community-related together with confirmed partner institutions with agreed counterpart equity.
C. Environment Program
Implements and supports projects for the rehabilitation and preservation of the environment in coordination with the Department of Natural Resources (DENR), City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) and other pro-environment advocacy groups. Projects and activities such as Buy Back Fair, tree-planting, coastal clean-up and among others are being implemented and participated.
D. External Support
Support are also given by NCCC Cares in respond to written requests (solicitations or sponsorship) from any agencies that implement programs and activities for social welfare and development.
